Finding Bigfoot Returns in November

Happy Friday the 13th everyone! I wish the air held more of a nip than a suffocating grip on my lungs here in Texas, but, it also gives a little more pool time with these warmer temperatures as we approach fall.
We are getting closer to the second book release in The Critter Getter series, Finding Love and Bigfoot! Coincidentally, the release of the book coincides with the return of a new season of Finding Bigfoot http://animal.discovery.com/tv-shows/finding-bigfoot

The full length novel, Finding Love and Bigfoot, gets deeper into Kalista, Caleb, Leandra, and Owen’s investigation into the legendary creature. A few added twists makes this read fun for the young and young at heart. The novella that started off the series, Finding Love Under a Rock, received great reviews from several sites, including Amazon http://www.amazon.com/Finding-Critter-Getter-Series-ebook/dp/B00CH9FO80

In honor of legendary creatures everywhere, each week, I will highlight a notorious mysterious “animal” and you can decide for yourself if it’s real…or just a fairytale.

Sasquatch
According to Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bigfoot

“Bigfoot, also known as sasquatch, is the name given to an ape-like creature that some people believe inhabits forests, mainly in the Pacific Northwest region of North America. Bigfoot is usually described as a large, hairy, bipedal humanoid. The term sasquatch is an anglicized derivative of the Halkomelem word sásq’ets.[2][3]

Most scientists discount the existence of Bigfoot and consider it to be a combination of folklore, misidentification, and hoax,[4] rather than a living animal, because of the lack of physical evidence and the large numbers of creatures that would be necessary to maintain a breeding population.[5][6] A few scientists, such as Jane Goodall,[7][8] Grover Krantz, and Jeffrey Meldrum, have expressed interest and some measure of belief in the creature.[9”

Sightings of Bigfoot have been in most all 50 of the United States, and some sightings in Canada. Although many prankster humans have attempted to create a footprint, photo, or video imagery of someone in a furry suit, a few legitimate reports have also emerged. Research about Bigfoot abounds on the internet with more than a million links just in Google alone.

I keep my mind open to the possibilities as I write in my upcoming release:
“Ticking off items on her fingers, she thoughtfully addressed Caleb. “So, we have a chewed up fish, something trailing us back to the cabin, and now nasty prints all over the car.” She gestured toward the smears. “You’re positive there isn’t a more, ahem, conventional explanation?”

“Do you want an explanation that fits into a nice box that makes sense, or, are you ready to open your mind to the implausible?” Caleb spoke without taking his eyes off the evidence. The glint in his eyes came from within, not the overcast sky void of sunlight.

Leandra turned toward Kalista. “I know it’s farfetched, but, something truly paranormal happened today. I feel it.” She crossed her arms to further emphasize her position, almost challenging her best friend to an argument. “I mean, come on, aren’t you just a tad bit confused or fascinated by the prospect?” Her body language opened up, coaxing Kalista from her stubborn disbelief.”

Until next week, don’t walk under any ladders, and take some advice from Creedence Clearwater Revival:

I see the bad moon arising.
I see trouble on the way.
I see earthquakes and lightnin’.
I see bad times today.

Don’t go around tonight,
Well, it’s bound to take your life,
There’s a bad moon on the rise.

I hear hurricanes ablowing.
I know the end is coming soon.
I fear rivers over flowing.
I hear the voice of rage and ruin.

Don’t go around tonight,
Well, it’s bound to take your life,
There’s a bad moon on the rise.
All right!

Hope you got your things together.
Hope you are quite prepared to die.
Looks like we’re in for nasty weather.
One eye is taken for an eye.

Don’t go around tonight,
Well, it’s bound to take your life,
There’s a bad moon on the rise.

Don’t go around tonight,
Well, it’s bound to take your life,
There’s a bad moon on the rise.
